You should see two screws on top of the compressor that holds the cover in place. Remove these screws and remove the cover. Now, look at the back side of the compressor where the fan blades attach to the compressor. If one of the fan blades has broken off, then this could be the problem. Check for power supply issues if you don't see anything wrong. Look at all the electrical connections from the compressor to the main board. If everything looks good, then you have to check the wiring harness. Unplug the wires from the compressor and plug them into the main board. If the lights don't turn on, then you may have a bad connection somewhere along the way. Another reason your air conditioner might not be working is a dirty filter. If you can't find any problems with the compressor, fan motor, or wiring harness, then you probably have a dirty filter. Clean the filter by running hot water over it.
